Exam preparation

How students prepare for exams

Our students sit the same Cambridge and Edexcel examinations as pupils in British schools, and we support them at every step.

  • Official examinations

IWS does not run examinations. Students sit their exams at an approved exam centre, and we guide your family through registering.

  • Preparation all year

Year-round exam preparation and past-paper practice build confidence.

  • University guidance

At A Level, we guide students through UCAS, personal statements, references and university choices.

Thanks to the mentorship and support at IWS, I passed my A Levels very successfully, and my confidence and belief in myself grew significantly.

Questions and answers

Questions families ask

Do you publish your students’ exam results?

We haven’t published exam statistics, so you won’t find percentages or grade counts here. What we can show you is where our graduates went, named only where a student holds an offer or has taken up a place.

Which universities have your graduates gone to?

Our graduates have gone on to UCL (Alexandru R., who also held offers from Durham, King’s College London, LSE and ETH Zurich), the University of Bath (Maksim B.), Florida Atlantic University (Adrian E.) and City St George’s, University of London (Aydın T., Emre K.).

Does recognition mean my child will get a university place?

No, we never promise a place. More than 2,670 universities worldwide accept Cambridge qualifications, which tells you the qualifications are recognised, but recognition isn’t an offer, and an offer isn’t a place.

Where do students sit their exams?

IWS does not run examinations. Students sit their exams at an approved exam centre, and we guide your family through registering.

Can students apply to universities abroad with IWS qualifications?

More than 2,670 universities recognise Cambridge qualifications, in the UK, the US, Europe and beyond. At A Level, we guide students through UCAS, personal statements, references and university choices.
