1. About these terms

These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of our website at www.iwschool.co.uk (the "Website"), operated by IWS Online School LTD ("IWS", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14794517) with its registered office at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF.

By using the Website, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Important: these Terms govern use of the Website only. They are not the contract for our education services. Enrolling in and paying for our programmes is governed by our separate Enrolment Agreement and the terms provided to you at the time of enrolment.

2. Changes to these terms and the Website

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version and date at the top show when they were last updated, and the current version applies each time you use the Website. We may also update, change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the Website and its content at any time, for example for maintenance or to reflect changes to our services.

3. Who can use the Website

The Website is intended for adults — parents, carers, prospective families and other adult visitors. Only adults may make enquiries about, or purchase, our services. Students access lessons and learning materials through our learning platform under the separate terms provided to them. If you are under 18, please use the Website only with the involvement of a parent or carer.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes and to find out about and engage with our services. You must not:

  • use the Website in any way that breaks the law or is fraudulent, or for any unlawful or harmful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the server on which it is stored, or any connected system or network;
  • introduce viruses, malware or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful;
  • copy, scrape, harvest or systematically extract content from the Website except as expressly permitted;
  • misuse the Website to send unsolicited communications, harass others, impersonate any person, or post unlawful or offensive material;
  • do anything that damages, disrupts or places an unreasonable load on the Website.

We may suspend or restrict your access to the Website if you breach these Terms.

5. Accounts and login areas

Some areas of the Website or our platforms may require a login (for example parent or student portals). Where you are given login details, you are responsible for keeping them confidential and for activity under your account. Do not share your login details, and tell us promptly if you believe they have been misused. Access to the learning platform and student accounts is governed by the terms provided at enrolment.

6. Intellectual property

The Website and all of its content — including text, graphics, images, video, logos, the IWS Online School name and branding, and learning materials — are owned by or licensed to IWS and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may view and print extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any part of the Website without our prior written permission. The IWS Online School name, logo and brand are our trademarks and must not be used without our consent.

7. Information you provide

If you submit information through the Website — for example through an enquiry, contact or booking form — you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it. You must not submit anything unlawful, offensive, misleading or that infringes another person's rights. We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice.

8. Links to other websites

The Website may contain links to third-party websites and resources for your convenience, such as booking tools or embedded video. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those third parties, and a link does not imply our endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9. Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the Website available and its information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that the Website will be available without interruption, or that its content will be complete, current or error-free. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Information on the Website is general and is not intended as professional, legal or financial advice.

10. Viruses and security

We do not guarantee that the Website will be free from viruses or other harmful components, and you are responsible for protecting your own devices and data, for example with appropriate security software. You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing harmful material or attempting to attack it; doing so may be a criminal offence, and we will report any such activity to the relevant authorities.

11. Our responsibility for loss or damage

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website, or from reliance on any content on it; and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our responsibilities in relation to the education services we provide are set out separately in the Enrolment Agreement.

12. Privacy and cookies

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice, and we use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Please read these to understand how we handle your information.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you may also be entitled to the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. If we do not enforce a right under these Terms, that is not a waiver of that right. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation; you may not transfer yours without our written consent. These Terms set out the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Website.

15. Contact us

If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected]. For privacy questions, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. To raise a complaint, email [email protected].
